- I cannot access the Promart website.
A: Occasionally the server that hosts Promart will be down. Please try again later. Verify that you are at www.promart2000.com .
- How do I apply for a grant?
A: Please visit our guidelines at http://www.international.gc.ca/arts to determine if you are eligible for one of our grant programs. Complete an application online at www.promart2000.com . It is recommended that you print out the guidelines and the user guide to complete your grant application.
- What is my username and password?
A: If you have forgotten your user name and password, DO NOT create a new account. Please send us your name, your client or company's name, phone number and username if you know it and we will send you your account information. Email: culture.pcr@international.gc.ca .
- I cannot find the “?” for help.
A: The question mark icon in Promart no longer exists. If you need assistance, please click on the Help menu located at the top your screen or view our complete user guide by going to http://webapps.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/promart2000/Help/Guide/help.html
- How do I update my profile?
Please note: The contact name, the client and the grant recipient all need to be kept up to date:
The Client: The organization or artist
The Contact: The person to be contacted regarding the application
The Grant recipient: Who the cheque will be issued to.
To modify information for any of the above, log into your account, select “ My Profile” from the purple menu.
1. For client updates, click on any of the information fields which will automatically bring up a new window. In this new window you can modify and save any information to update your client profile.
2. For contact or grant recipient updates, their name must appear at the bottom of the page. To update their information, click on the logo
to the right of their phone number. If their name is not on this list, select “Add a new person” .
3. To change the contact or the grant recipient, select the appropriate field from the client profile. This provides a list of names to choose from. After your selection, ensure you “ Save” your changes.
- I clicked on the Save button (or the next step button) and everything disappeared.
A: For security reasons Promart locks you out after 20 minutes of inactivity. We highly suggest you prepare texts for each applicable section on a word processor of your choice and then copy and paste the appropriate text for each section into the online application and click on the “ Save” button regularly.
- I am unable to enter information in the Guaranteed Fees, Box office and Provided Services fields in the revenue section of the budget. A: These fields are entered in the Itinerary section for each day and then they are automatically calculated in the Budget section. In order to modify these amounts in the budget, you must change the information in the Itinerary section.
- Did you receive my grant application?
A: Once you are finished filling out your application and after you have clicked on “ Submit request” you should see a confirmation message: “Your request has been sent with success!” If an error message appears indicating the incomplete fields, please go back and complete the whole application. The main page of your account notes the state of your application: “1.0 - In evaluation/management” or “Incomplete”.
- When I login into my account, the status of my application says incomplete.
A: Please make sure that you have clicked on “ Submit request” after completing your application. If it was not done, you must go into your request and click on “ Submit request” in the purple menu located on the left of your screen and then click “ Send request” .
- Can I change my information after my application has been submitted?
A: Please contact us if there are any changes to be made to your application. Email: culture.pcr@international.gc.ca
- What is the status of my application?
A: If you log into your account, you will find the status of your application listed under the column entitled “State”. If it is indicated as "In evaluation/management", this means that we have received your application and that we are in the process of evaluating it. The results will be communicated to you in writing as soon as they are known. Please make sure that your client profile is up to date (mailing address, phone number, and email address).
- Am I guaranteed a grant?
A: Funding is not guaranteed. Grants are awarded subject to the availability of funds and conformity with general guidelines.
- When will I know the results of my application?
A: Decisions will generally be communicated two to four months after receipt of the application.
- I want to send a revised itinerary and/or budget, but Promart does not allow me to do so. What should I do?

- When am I going to receive the grant agreement for signature?
A: The grant agreement is sent to the clients of approved grants approximately 13 weeks before the beginning of their project.
- When am I going to receive my cheque?
A: Once you have returned the signed grant agreement to us, you will receive your cheque in approximately 3 to 4 weeks.
